WE TACKLE HEALTH DIFFERENTLY

We believe physical health and mental health are intrinsically connected. And if we are going to increase physical strength, we also have the opportunity to increase mental strength. We lead people to health through outdoor movement - movement strengthens, nature heals.

Increasing Movement

We’ll use a biomarker wearable (Whoop Peak) to not only evaluate your average heart rate, but other key measurables that provide context to a physically health lifestyle.  The action part of this is movement.  Somedays, that’s formal exercise - walking, rucking, weight training - other days it’s in being active - playing with kids, working around the house, or just being active.

Being Outside

The impacts of fresh air and natural beauty are clear.  Clearer thought and lowered stress levels come from digital detox and a natural connection to the larger, natural world.  If your only time to be outside is during a workout - double win.  But we’ll also encourage recovery experiences to be outside in the presence of nature if possible.

The idea here is we heal the body by ensuring the movement we’re making is going to make a difference, is measured, and strengthens your body as you build confidence in your ability and the time you can make for it.  And we heal the mind by finding a comfort in being outside and seeing our world through a different lens.  This provides a holistic approach that starts to build healthy momentum that extends past this work, but into nutrition, sleep and a comfort with the outdoors that becomes second nature.

We’ll use your location and resources to start our regular movement.  The plan is 40 minutes a day, preferably 4-5 times a week. Some regular discourse, primarily around the biometrics and how to build broad enough engagement that it doesn’t become boring.  From there, it’s just accountability and learning how you can enjoy your life in new a different ways 😊.
